All the benefits specified herein shall enter into force once the contract itself has come into effect. Nonetheless, medical, surgical and/or hospital services are excepted from this general principle in the cases described below, cover for which shall come into effect once the respective waiting periods, likewise specified below, have elapsed.

BENEFIT A: IN-PATIENT CARE:

1. 90 days for surgery and hospitalisation

2. 300 days for childbirth

BENEFIT B: OUT-PATIENT CARE:

1. 150 days for radiotherapy, chemotherapy, cobalt therapy, radioactive isotopes, linear accelerator, scanner, magnetic resonance, nuclear medicine, bone densitometry, lithotripsy, digital arteriography, radioneurosurgery and prostate hyperthermia.

2. 90 days for physiotherapy, rehabilitation, laser treatments, speech therapy, pathological anatomy and home health care.

The above waiting periods shall not be applicable in the event of accidents covered by the Policy or acute illness calling for life-threatening emergency treatment occurring and diagnosed after the date the insurance comes into effect.

BENEFIT D: PSYCHIATRY

1. 90 days for hospitalisation
