1. The duration of the insurance is as stipulated in the Particular Conditions and, in accordance with article 22 of the Insurance Contract Act, it shall be tacitly extended upon expiration for periods of not over one year. Nonetheless, either party may opt not to extend the contract by notifying the other party in writing to this effect at least two months in advance of the date of expiration of the term in effect.

2. Membership of the insurance scheme shall automatically expire at the end of the year of cover in which any member reaches the age of 65, unless otherwise covenanted.

3. With regard to each Member, the insurance expires under the following circumstances:

a) Death

b) Moving abroad or not residing in Spain at least nine (9) months of the year

c) Where the Policy includes relatives living with the Policyholder, when they cease to live with the Policyholder on a regular basis, which circumstance must be duly notified to the Insurer. Nonetheless, if these persons enrol in another insurance scheme less than one month after the above notification, the Insurer shall respect their acquired eligibilities, providing that they take out the same cover.

4. Individuals aged under 14 years may only be added to the insurance if the individual or individuals responsible for their custody or care are also insured.

5. The benefits contracted shall not come into effect until such time as the first premium has been paid.
