1. In accordance with article 14 of the Insurance Contract Act, the Policyholder shall be bound to pay the premiums via bank transfer unless otherwise stated in the Particular Conditions of the Policy.

2. In accordance with article 15 of the aforesaid Act, the first premium shall be due once the contract has been signed. If it were not paid on grounds attributable to the Policyholder, the Insurer is entitled to cancel the contract or demand execution of payment on the basis of the Policy, and should such premium not be paid before a claim is filed, the Insurer shall be released of its obligations, unless otherwise covenanted.

3. In the event of failure to pay the second and subsequent premiums, the Insurer shall suspend benefits one month after the due date of the respective receipt, and should the Insurer not demand payment within six months of the said due date, the contract shall be understood to have been cancelled. Should the contract not be cancelled or discharged in accordance with the foregoing terms, the benefit shall come into effect twenty-four hours after the day on which the Policyholder pays the premium. In any case, in event of suspension, the Insurer may only demand payment of the premium for the current period.

4. In the event of instalment payment of premiums, where a claim is filed, the Insurer may deduct the instalments outstanding on the current year's premium from the amounts to be paid on behalf of or refunded to the Policyholder or Member.

5. The Insurer shall only be bound by premium receipts issued by the Management or its legally authorised representatives.

6. At renewal, the annual premium shall be determined on the basis of the age and sex of each Member, in accordance with the schedule in force on the date of renewal. The Policyholder agrees to any premium variations on such grounds.

7. Upon receipt of the Insurer's notification of premium variations in the forthcoming annuity, the Policyholder may opt to extend the insurance contract or cancel it at the expiration date of current period of insurance. In the latter case, the Policyholder shall notify the Insurer in writing of his or her intention to cancel the privity of contract upon expiration.
