1. Purpose of the Insurance 

Benefit D: PSYCHIATRY

Benefit E: NEWBORN INFANTS

This benefit includes partial refund or, as appropriate, total payment by Insurer of expenses for medical and/or hospital care required by an infant from the time of birth.

Where the expenses mentioned in the preceding paragraph are incurred as a result of congenital disease, the patient shall be eligible for partial refund or, as appropriate, total payment by Insurer during the first year of life only and in any case such refund shall be subject to the maximum financial limit established in the Particular Conditions. The aforesaid limit shall be understood to be the Insured sum stipulated in the Policy for the newborn infant.

The enrolment of the mother in the policy must have taken at least 300 days before delivery, and the newborn baby must have been enrolled no later than 5 working days of birth to qualify for this benefit.

All the benefits included under this clause shall be paid by the Insurer up to the maximum scale(s) of cover established in the Particular Conditions.
